Etiology:

  • Infiltrative (sarcoidosis, amyloidosis)
  • Hemochromatosis (reversible)
  • Endomyocardial fibrosis
  • Idiopathic


Presentation:

  • Dyastolic dysfunction


Dx:

  • Low voltage EKG
  • Echo: symmetrical thickening of the ventricle


Tx:

  • Hemochromatosis: Phlebotomy
  • Amyloidosis: supportive)
  • Sarcoidosis, Scleroderma: corticosteroids
